Ford Mustang Sales Down Slightly But Tops Camaro in June
On Friday Ford revealed their June sales figures. Looks like the Mustang is making a bit of a comeback in a year of lackluster sales. Back in May when Ford sold 6,607 Mustangs and in June, Ford sold 8,835 Mustangs. In June of 2010, they sold 8,974. That results in a slight decline of 1.5 percent year-over-year, but a pretty decent month-over-month gain.For the bigger picture, last year at this time Ford had sold 40,035 Mustangs. This year, they’ve sold 39,041. Good news is the sales gap is slowly closing. As for Chevrolet, they sold 8,486 Camaros in June. The company sold 9,451 in May. Yes, that’s right. Mustang beat out Camaro sales last month. Let’s see if we can keep it up. Keeping my fingers crossed! Meanwhile, Dodge sold 3,384 Challengers in June.
